Wayfinding research in Zurich

In 2018, I started documenting how visitors and residents experience the beautiful city center, how they move, what they learn about the history of the city during their walks and how information is being transmitted by the local wayfinding and signage system.

In this research, one can find analysis of maps and signage, analysis of pedestrians’ movement, interviews conducted with tourists and residents, “state of the art” literature analysis and how it is applied in the city center. The photographic documentation includes all types of signs, information, directional, digital, identification, commercial, warning and technical.

The photographs also represent the use of typography in the swiss environment.
